Frequently asked questions about "European City of Görlitz - Ticket" (EuropastadtTicket)

Is my senior ticket, education ticket or trainee ticket also valid on the Polish route of Line A?

Yes. All tickets that cover the entire ZVON network area are valid on the entire line A and thus also for the Polish part. However, this does not apply to lines 3, 4 and 5 of the Zgorzelec city transport. These can only be used free of charge with the EuropastadtTicket.

I have a handicap token, can I use it on Line A in Poland?

Yes. Severely disabled people with a valid German token are transported on line A free of charge. However, the recognition does not apply to the bus lines of the Zgorzelec city transport.

On which lines is the EropastadtTicket valid?

- in all means of transport in the Görlitz city transport tariff area
- the entire line A
- DLB trains between Görlitz and Zgorzelec
- lines 3, 4 and 5 of the Zgorzelec city transport

Where can I buy the Europe City Ticket?

The Europastadt ticket can be bought at all GVB ticket machines – stationary or in the vehicle – as well as at all advance booking offices (link) and online at HandyTicket Deutschland and DB Navigator.
Sale at advance booking offices in Zgorzelec and on the buses of the Zgorzelec city transport (lines 3, 4 and 5) is in preparation.

What are the benefits of a subscription ticket?

The monthly fees are simply collected from your bank account by direct debit.

You can easily transfer your standard monthly subscription and the 9-a.m.-monthly subscription to other persons.

“Schüler/Azubi” tickets for school students are personal tickets and cannot be used for accompanying persons. Since 01 August, the monthly subscription for senior citizens, “Senioren”, allows 2 children (up to 15 years) to be taken along. These tickets cannot be transferred to another person.

Out and about together on weekends and holidays

Our standard monthly subscription and the 9-a.m.-monthly subscription are valid Monday through Friday 6 p.m. until 4 a.m. in the next morning, and on weekends and public holidays from 6 p.m. on the previous day until 4 a.m. on the following day, for 2 adults and up to 4 children (pupils) up to their 15th birthday. Another child can be taken along instead of an adult.

No stamping required

Every subscriber receives their monthly ticket in an appropriate and timely manner. Every ticket will have its valid fare zone and month imprinted. Stamping by the passenger is therefore not necessary.
